Reza Anvarian was born in Azerbaijan and moved to the United States at a young age. When he moved to Dallas, Texas he teamed up with Coach Charles Brown and Coach George Prevalsky at Big Time Boxing. He went on to becoming the Golden Gloves Champion 2005 and 2006 in Texas. During and after his professional career, Reza worked many jobs in the restaurant and service industry. It had always been a dream of his to have his own concept one day. October of 2008, he started up a 715 square foot restaurant named Southpaw’s Organic Café in Preston Center. His concept was built on the principle of serving healthy eating through organic and natural foods that taste great without added sugars, syrups, nitrates, or preservatives. January of 2011, Reza partnered up with a long-time friend, TJ Frank, to expand the concept. Their second location in Uptown on McKinney Ave opened September 2011.. And it won’t stop there. Planning for location three and more are already underway. Fueled by loyal customers, the business has continued to grow throughout the metroplex. “It’s a Lifestyle!!!”
